Tigger is looking pretty thoughtful… maybe it’s because the address went over his face! I wrote the address first, then tried to fit the drawing around it, but couldn’t quite make it work without it overlapping.

Spring has Sprung – mail art
I couldn’t resist drawing Minnie Mouse this month. She definitely has green fingers when it comes to growing those flowers!
Snowball Fight – mail art
I wanted to draw a suitably seasonal picture for this month’s competition entry envelope – without doing the obvious Valentine’s theme. So a snowball fight between Goofy and Mickey seemed the best choice!
My shading skills on the white do need some work though.
Please Send to – mail art
I used a design from The Postman’s Knock for the fancy “please send to” phrase. It was written with a bright orange Uni-ball permanent pen just to ensure it didn’t run if the envelope got wet.
Because that was so elegant, I stuck with typewriter style lettering for the address.
Christmassy – mail art
I wanted my envelope to look suitably seasonal this month. So I used a snowflake stencil from Hobbycraft, and some gold & white highlights on the letters.
Chilling Out with Mickey – mail art
There’s something about Micky Mouse which makes him really nice to draw, especially when he’s chilled out like this!
Lisa Simpson (again) – mail art
Ok, I admit I was watching The Simpsons a lot this month!
Lisa Simpson – mail art
I started drawing Lisa from the bottom of the envelope and worked my way up – I think that was a mistake, as her head is at a weird angle to work around the address! But it does look like she’s writing the address, doesn’t it?
Puzzler logo – mail art
I hadn’t expected that Puzzler logo to be so challenging to copy!
I still need to work on my faux calligraphy I think – don’t you?
Blending & Highlighting – mail art
I’ve seen lots of calligraphy on Instagram with beautifully blended letters and a slight white highlight on one side. So I thought I’d give that a go for this month’s competition envelope.
I’m quite pleased with how this came out. It gives a strong looking envelope without the need for any drawings too.
