I wasn&#8217;t too sure how well it would actually glow, but I thought it would look great paired with some blue &#8220;minky&#8221; to make a bat.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1224\" style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" src=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/bat1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/bat1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/bat1-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Using the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/beezeeart.tumblr.com\/craftsy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bat pattern from BeeZee Art<\/a>\u00a0again, I marked out the pieces on the fabric using a white pen, as I felt that would be easier than using chalk. This is the first time I&#8217;ve tried sewing a bat from this pattern with &#8220;minky&#8221;, and although it has a tendency to slip and slide while I&#8217;m sewing, I think this bat is much better than my <a href=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/happy-halloween\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first attempt<\/a>, which used regular fleece.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1225\" style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" src=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/bat2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/bat2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/bat2-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are a couple of elements that could have been sewn slightly more accurately &#8211; my bat does look like he&#8217;s got one foot standing on the other, but that just gives him character.
