The underside of the peak is also patterned, while the inside of the cap is a plain black polycotton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"699\" height=\"524\" src=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/kids-clovelly5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/kids-clovelly5.jpg 699w, https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/kids-clovelly5-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/kids-clovelly5-624x468.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 699px) 100vw, 699px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I cheated with the topstitching, using a zigzag stitch to ensure the biasbinding was caught with the stitches on the inside. I found it too fiddly to manipulate the layers to get my stitches accurate enough for a straight stitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/kids-clovelly6.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2134\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/kids-clovelly6.jpg 500w, https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/kids-clovelly6-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike the caps I made for myself, this one has buckram fused on the inside of the peak for stiffness.
