That was a longer hiatus than I&#8217;d anticipated, so I do have a few blog posts I&#8217;d planned for December, which will obviously now be pretty unseasonal&#8230; but they&#8217;re heading onto the blog over the next few weeks anyway!<br><br>So let&#8217;s start with the recap of my 2019 Nine to Try<\/p><cite> <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>How can it be the end of 2019 already?! The biggest question though, is have I managed to make any of my <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"2019 Nine to Make (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/nine-to-try-for-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\">2019 Nine to Try<\/a>, or have I just been making other items instead?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nine-2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1955\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nine-2019.jpg 500w, https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nine-2019-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/dragonsflamedesigns.co.uk\/knit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nine-2019-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Fashionista Jacket* by\u00a0WinterWear Designs*\u2028Neck Tie Top* by\u00a0WinterWear Designs*\u2028Provence Pea Coat*\u00a0by\u00a0WinterWear Designs* (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winterweardesigns.com\/collections\/womens-patterns\/products\/fashionista-jean-jacket-for-women-size-xxs-xxxl?aff=52\" target=\"_blank\">Fashionista Jacket<\/a>* by\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winterweardesigns.com\/?aff=52\" target=\"_blank\">WinterWear Designs<\/a>*\u00a0<br>I&#8217;ve actually made two Fashionista Jackets &#8211; one from softshell, and the other from denim&#8230;. and I have a linen-like fabric set aside to make a third Fashionista too!<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.heyjunehandmade.com\/product\/bryce-cargo-pants\/?affiliates=105\" target=\"_blank\">Bryce Cargo Trousers<\/a>* by\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.heyjunehandmade.com\/?affiliates=105\" target=\"_blank\">Hey June Handmade<\/a>*\u00a0\u00a0<br>I haven&#8217;t even got as far as printing off the pattern for these. I do like the idea of them, but the shape looks like it could be quite complicated to get the fit just right.<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.heyjunehandmade.com\/product\/brunswick-pullover\/?affiliates=105\" target=\"_blank\">Brunswick Sweater<\/a>* by\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.heyjunehandmade.com\/?affiliates=105\" target=\"_blank\">Hey June Handmade<\/a>*<br>Again, I love the shape of the sweater, but I haven&#8217;t got close to getting this one printed off even&#8230; maybe 2020 will be the year for that pattern?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Middle Row:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winterweardesigns.com\/collections\/womens-patterns\/products\/provence-pea-coat-for-women-xxs-xxxl?aff=52\" target=\"_blank\">Provence Pea Coat<\/a>*\u00a0by\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winterweardesigns.com\/?aff=52\" target=\"_blank\">WinterWear Designs<\/a>*<br>I did make a faux-wool Provence Pea Coat in 2019, although I think that one hasn&#8217;t actually reached the blog yet (I&#8217;ll have to get some photos and change that!)<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winterweardesigns.com\/collections\/womens-patterns\/products\/provence-pea-coat-for-women-xxs-xxxl?aff=52\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Provence Pea Coat*\u00a0by\u00a0WinterWear Designs*\nI've never tried sewing a coat before, so what better time than if I can get it started in the Winter? I do have some faux wool fabric sitting in a box, just waiting for this particular pattern\u2028\ufffcAround the Block Hoodie by Ellie and Mac\nI've always wanted to try sewing my own denim j\u2028\ufffcScrundlewear\u00a0by Stitch Upon a Time\nI've always wanted to try sewing my own denim j (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/stitchuponatime.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stitch Upon a Time<\/a><br>I have made underwear from this pattern&#8230; just not in 2019!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Bottom Row:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winterweardesigns.com\/collections\/womens-patterns\/products\/neck-tie-top-for-women-size-00-24-free-with-code?aff=52\" target=\"_blank\">Neck Tie Top<\/a>* by\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winterweardesigns.com\/?aff=52\" target=\"_blank\">WinterWear Designs<\/a>*<br>Despite my best intentions, I didn&#8217;t even take another look at this pattern in 2019!<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/store.closetcasepatterns.com\/products\/kelly-anorak-jacket-pattern\" target=\"_blank\">Kelly Anorak<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/closetcasepatterns.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Closet Case Patterns<\/a><br>I was all set to make this pattern, when the Eden jacket was released by Tilly &amp; the Buttons. The Eden jacket is less fitted in its shape (there&#8217;s no waist drawstring either), so I decided to swap the Kelly over to the Eden instead!<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/furaddictionstore.com\/collections\/patterns\/products\/digital-pattern-28-belladonna-bear\" target=\"_blank\">Belladonna Bear<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/emmasbears.blogspot.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Emma&#8217;s Bears<\/a><br>I have made several bears this year, but not from this particular pattern! If I can find some cotter-pin teddy bear joints, then I might give this pattern a go in the future though.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Overall, I made a grand total of three of my nine to try (or 4 if you count the Kelly anaorak swapping over to the Eden jacket) *laughs*  <br>But really, it doesn&#8217;t matter how many I made &#8211; it&#8217;s fun to pick out some patterns at the beginning of the year, and have a rough idea of &#8220;I&#8217;d like to make that&#8221;, but those ideas are allowed to evolve and change through the year.
